The Cocke ’n Kettle, located in historic Uxbridge, Massachusetts, is owned and operated by the Sampson Family. The restaurant opened its doors in the Spring of 1971 after extensive renovation. The family previously owned other Restaurants in both the North and South Shore areas of Massachusetts.

The Sampsons traveled to Uxbridge to attend the auction of the previous owners who had begun the tremendous task of conforming the house into a restaurant. It was known as the Cricket on the Hearth back then. They had no intention of buying the entire restaurant when they came to the auction, but after looking at the beautiful Estate and the historic mill town of Uxbridge, they had fallen in love with the whole picture. Without a second thought, the Sampsons bid on the entire property. The rest, as they say, is history!
